Alok Barman (born 15 December 2006, Siliguri, West Bengal, India) is an author and thinker focusing on history, philosophy, and culture. He completed his schooling at Sri Guru Vidya Mandir High School and later discontinued his higher studies at Siliguri College.
He was born to Ashok Barman and Sunita Bhowmick, and has an elder sister, Tapasi Barman.
His writings, including The Rational View and Sphere of Beliefs, explore the questioning of social myths, critical interpretation of historical narratives, and the pursuit of a rational and egalitarian worldview. Through his work, he encourages readers to engage with history and culture through analytical and reflective thinking. He is also the founder of Eleven Fifty Publishing.
Outside of writing, he enjoys studying philosophy, exploring history, traveling, music, and sports. He aspires to contribute toward building a society grounded in knowledge, equality, and human dignity.
